Wetlands

Bird and bat nesting boxes give wildlife an immediate spot to call home. Each year, the Clean Water Project and the Christmas Bird Count collaborate to provide important data on biodiversity in the bird population in a developed wetland.

Wetlands provide a variety of societal benefits, including food and habitat for fish and wildlife, including threatened and endangered species; improved water quality; flood storage; shoreline erosion control; economically beneficial natural products for human use; and recreational, educational, and research opportunities.
